Class One Driver Operators

Based out of Edmonton, Solvent Buddy is currently looking for experienced Class 1 Driver Operators. Successful candidates will spend approximately 75% of their time driving tractors, which require a Class 1 driver’s license, and 25% of their time operating various types of equipment including, but not limited to, Vacuum, Tanker, Steamer, and Combo-Units.

Solvent Buddy is willing to train candidates on equipment operations, if candidates have had their Class 1 Driver’s License for three years and have been driving similar units, and have an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.

This Full Time Permanent position offers occasional overnight travel with a meal allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

– Drive and operate a variety of units safely

– Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis, such as driver logs, pre/post trip inspection reports and field level risk assessments

– Safe Fluid and/or hazardous waste hauling

– Ability to deliver excellent client service to maintain and grow business relationships

– Safe operations of Tractors, Tankers, Vacuum Trucks, Streamers, and Combo-Units

Requirements:

– Class 1 License with a Clean 5 year Commercial Driver Abstract, maximum of 6 demerits is acceptable

– Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience with similar units

– Must Be Able to Pass Pre-Employment Drug Testing and comply with our Alcohol and Drug Policy and Program

– Experience driving trucks with both Manual and Automatic transmissions
